Corned Beef and Cabbage for Saint Patrick’s Day

Zeppeles for Saint Joseph’s Day!

spring is here!

and spring means planting

(although for River, it also means indoor allergies, so these plants didn’t last very long).

Elles started crawling this week. One of my favorite moments was when I set her down in her play tent in the bedroom while River played in his kitchen. I left to do dishes and turned around a minute later, and she was no longer where I had left her, but had made her way over to her brother to play in the play kitchen.

Today was the first really warm day of spring.

We celebrated with a walk on the bike trail. After our walk (and naps), we met Grandma and Grandpa at our favorite ice cream spot- Somerset Creamery!

When I told River that Bud was at the dentist (tooth doctor) and that we would have to be extra nice to him when he got home because he might not feel well, River said, “I will tell Daddy, ‘you’re okay, Daddy’ when he comes home.” He is so sweet.

Later in the day, I was laying on the floor holding a screw in place for Bud while we tried to change the height of Elles’ crib. River came over and sat right on my ribs. River said, “I’m breaking you, Mommy.”

New season

fresh new haircut!

Me: River, do you see the spider on the ceiling?

River: Daddy put it there.

Me: Why did Daddy put it there?

River: Don’t know.
