Our Prequel

Bud started this blog when River was preparing to be born. He wanted a way to chronicle River’s story without using social media. Somehow, we have kept our story going, from one baby, to the 2nd, and soon, a 3rd. But our story didn’t start October of 2020. Our story started October in 2004, when I asked Bud, someone I’d known as a child but who was now a complete stranger visiting from Colorado, if he wanted to see some of the local sights. By the following spring, we were living together in the sketchiest neighborhood in Fall River. 15 years later, we had made a life of travel, adventure, and love. It was the perfect time for River to join our circle. But, for the benefit of posterity, I want to share a little bit of the story that came before the babies, the house, the settling down. So I will now be working backwards, filling in some of the years between 2004 and 2020, sharing our prequel.
